Message from the CEO: Joyous Holiday Season and Office Closures

Dear Melwood Family,
As I reflect on the many accomplishments and challenges of the past year, I continue to be deeply grateful for your commitment to our mission. We have partnered with Children’s National Hospital
to expand and grow Camp Accomplish; with Wesley Housing to develop our footprint in Arlington; with federal, state and local agencies to exponentially increase employment opportunities across MD, DC, and VA;
and we have served hundreds of people with disabilities every month. This progress helps me believe that one day, we will live in a world that fully includes people with disabilities.
I thank all of you for making 2023 an outstanding year for the Melwood community.
Please note the following holiday closings:
- On Friday, December 22, all Melwood campuses will be open for business.
- 3:00 pm dismissal for most employees
- Community Services Division and RTIS contract employees are on holiday
- All contract employees should contact their site supervisors to verify departure times
- On Monday, December 25, all Melwood campuses will be closed.
- On Friday, December 29, all Melwood campuses will be open for business.
- 3:00 pm dismissal for most employees
- All contract employees should contact their stie supervisors to verify departure times
- On Monday, January 1, all Melwood campuses will be closed.
All Contract Employees should contact their site supervisors to verify departure times. We want to ensure that Melwood fulfills its obligations to the sites we support.
