Brice Alexander, Vice President of Contract Operations, uses his background in project and operations management to provide leadership on developing, facilitating and maintaining strategic contract opportunities in order to continue building inclusive employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Brice joined Melwood in 2020 as Program Director. During his time as Program Director, Brice played a crucial role in securing and renewing federal contracts for Melwood to continue providing essential services. He also led Melwood’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and developed a Pandemic Plan for the organization to integrate into Melwood’s workflows to ensure health and safety on contract sites. Brice was promoted to Vice President of Contract Operations in October 2022.
Before joining Melwood, Brice had an extensive career in facility management. Brice previously worked as Director of Facilities at ARAMARK Facility Services, where he directed custodial operations, oversaw contract negotiation and compliance, and managed certifications. He also served as Operations Manager of Environmental Care at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he managed 24/7 cleaning operations and created and implemented education programs for staff and supervisors. From 2010-2016, Brice worked as Director of Operations at Presidential Service Industries, managing a multi-state and multi-million-dollar P&L and leading project management for Fortune 500 clients.
Brice has a bachelor’s degree in history from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also holds the following certifications: RBSM (Registered Building Service Manager, BSCAI), ICE (Industry Certified Expert, ISSA) and FMP (Facility Management Professional, IFMA).
Brice is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities in his personal and professional life. His wife works as a Special Education teacher, and he and his wife’s combined passion for serving people with disabilities is what first drew him to Melwood.
