Nanjemoy, Md. — Melwood invites friends, neighbors, and community members from across the Washington, D.C. region to its Family Fall Funfest and SpOOktacular on Halloween night from 5 to 9 p.m. The event will be held at the Melwood Recreation Center in Nanjemoy, Md., home of Camp Accomplish.
The beloved community celebration is Southern Maryland’s most inclusive trunk or treat and offers a safe, festive, and inclusive environment for children and families to enjoy the magic of fall. Guests will experience a variety of fall-themed activities, including a pumpkin patch and pumpkin decorating, trunk or treat, family movie night, glow dance party, food trucks, and more.
The event welcomes children and families with and without disabilities to participate in the fun. A sensory-friendly space, accessible activities, and attractions for a wide variety of ages will be available for guests.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about Camp Accomplish, a collaboration by Melwood and Children’s National Hospital, offering a unique summer experience to children ages 5–18 with and without disabilities and chronic health conditions.

This event is free and open to the public. Costumes are encouraged. Registration is required.
