About the Event
Get ready to have a spooktacular good time at Melwood’s Family Fall FunFest & SpOOktacular! This outdoor extravaganza is the perfect way for families, children, and community members to celebrate the season with pumpkin patches, trick-or-treating, outdoor movies, and even a glow dance party. Don’t miss one of Southern Maryland’s largest Trunk or Treats – it’s a can’t-miss event that’s sure to create lasting memories.
Parking Information
There will be no parking available at the Melwood Recreation Center during the event.
Shuttle Service Provided: All attendees will park at one of the designated off-site locations listed below and will be shuttled to and from the event via motor coach. Shuttles will run continuously throughout the event.

Charles County Government Building Parking Lot
- 200 Baltimore Street, La Plata, MD 20646
- Shuttle service begins at 4:30 PM
Mt. Hope Nanjemoy Elementary School
- 9275 Ironsides Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662
- Shuttle service begins at 4:45 PM Wheelchair accessible vehicle will be at this location only.
Important:
Only board motor coaches labeled Beltway Transportation. This ensures you are on the correct shuttle to and from the Melwood Recreation Center.
Please plan to arrive at your chosen parking location early to ensure timely transportation to the event.
