As Melwood’s Vice President of Human Resources, Maisha McClain brings extensive experience in strategic HR leadership, organizational development, and building people-centered workplace cultures.

Maisha comes to Melwood from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration (TSA), where she oversaw HR functions supporting more than 62,000 employees nationwide. During her tenure, she led major efforts to modernize HR operations, strengthen employee engagement, and enhance both employee and customer experiences.

Prior to TSA, Maisha held HR leadership roles at the U.S. Department of Transportation, directing human resources strategy for a division of approximately 3,000 employees. Her work focused on talent development, workforce planning, and improving organizational effectiveness.

In her role at Melwood, Maisha guides the organization’s HR strategy and culture initiatives, helping advance Melwood’s mission by supporting the growth, development, and success of the organization’s employees.
