Romell Buchanan, Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller, is responsible for the management of Melwood’s accounting and financial compliance functions.

Mr. Buchanan brings more than two decades of finance, accounting, operational, and audit compliance experience in working with small to large nonprofit organizations. Before rejoining Melwood, he was the Chief Finance and Administrative Officer of the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. Mr. Buchanan earned his Master of Accounting with an emphasis in financial management, from Walden University, and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mr. Buchanan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
