Thanksgiving Message from the CEO

This week’s Thanksgiving holiday is a time to reflect on our many blessings and to be thankful for the opportunities we have received, while being mindful of those less fortunate and struggling in our country and our world.
This year, in addition to family and friends, I’m grateful for the privilege of serving as your President & CEO. It’s an honor work with our team of talented and hardworking employees, dedicated and supportive Directors, and committed volunteers. Our work helps to enrich lives every day and I thank you for your service.
On Wednesday, November 23rd, Melwood’s campuses in Prince George’s County, Charles County, and Arlington County will close at 3:00 PM and remained closed on Thanksgiving. We will re-open on Friday, November 25th with the exception of the Community Services Division (CSD). CSD will be closed on Friday.
All Contract Employees and Day Program Staff should contact their site supervisors to verify departure times. We want to ensure that Melwood fulfills its obligations to the sites we support.
