As we prepare to close out the year, I want to thank all of you, once again, for making 2022 a banner year for the Melwood community. I continue to be deeply grateful for your commitment to our mission. You make it possible to believe that one day, we will live in a world that fully includes people with disabilities.
In celebration of the New Year, Melwood campuses will close at 3:00pm today, December 30 for most employees and will be closed all day on Monday, January 2, 2023. All contract employees should contact their site supervisors to verify departure times. We want to ensure that Melwood fulfills its obligations to the sites we support.

Melwood is one of the largest employers of people with disabilities in the country, employing more than 1,600 workers – nearly 1,000 of whom are people with disabilities. Melwood offers job placement, job training, life skills for independence, and support services to more than 2,500 people each year in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
