In 2019, Melwood launched a pilot 14-week job training and readiness program designed to support individuals with disabilities launching tech and tech-adjacent careers. The program, nationally recognized in publications such as The Washington Post, has produced more than 125 graduates who are launching careers at reputable employers like GDIT, KPMG, MITRE, and Wells Fargo. Melwood is seeking donations to seed a scholarship fund.
