Melwood was selected in 1998 for the task of bringing the new USDA George Washington Carver Center through the transition from construction to occupation, and has managed the Total Facility Management contract from day one.
A short time later Melwood took over the total facility management services of a large secure facility in Washington, DC. In 2011, Melwood assumed responsibility for building and grounds operations at the Fort George G. Meade Army Base in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Our employees also possess various security classifications including secret and top secret clearances.
Melwood’s highly qualified TFM staff oversees a total of more than 6 million square feet of space and 700 acres of land. Our total facility management teams use state of the art equipment and technology and environmentally safe, Government-approved products to oversee our TFM contracts.
