In 2021, Melwood launched a pilot 14-week hands-on pre-apprenticeship program designed to prepare people with disabilities to enter the construction and skilled trades career field. The program is operated in partnership with the College of Southern Maryland’s Center for Trades and Energy Training Center. Melwood is seeking donations to seed a scholarship fund.
