
Nathan Delk entered the 12-week Professional Development Training (PDT) at Melwood during the summer of 2017.
Nathan demonstrated many behaviors typical of persons on the autism spectrum including extreme anxiety, resistance to change, verbal outbursts, and rigid thinking. Nathan flourished under the guidance of his counselor and demonstrated just how bright, quick-witted, and wonderfully humorous he really was. After graduation he was hired by a temporary agency and expressed interest in working in the business of finance. Nathan returned to college and is majoring in accounting. He is successfully working towards a Business Accounting certificate with the goal of obtaining his Associate’s Degree.
